Now I understand why the Gastronomy program I saw back then for college had Chemistry. Boy was I ignorant! Anyow, fortunately, I now understand a little bit more and I can now share it as well. I have to say that this was my first try, but it came out delicious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/lagourmandista.pixelbot.com.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/pastel-imposible-02.jpg\" alt=\"Flan Cake\" class=\"wp-image-18206\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lagourmandista.pixelbot.com.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/pastel-imposible-02.jpg 768w, https:\/\/lagourmandista.pixelbot.com.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/pastel-imposible-02-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Impossible Cake, a.k.a, Flan Cake<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A cake that became very fashionable in Mexico and which has found its place to become a staple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prep Time 20 minutes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cook Time 50 minutes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Resting Time 10 minutes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Course: Dessert<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Keyword: cake, chocolate, home baking, Homemade, Mexican patisserie, Mexican vanilla<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Servings: 8<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Equipment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cake mold<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Blender<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>3 eggs<\/li>\n\n\n<li>1 can evaporated milk<\/li>\n\n\n<li>1 can condensed milk<\/li>\n\n\n<li>1 teaspoon natural vanilla essence or the grains of a Papantla vanilla pod<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Cajeta, soft fudge to taste<\/li>\n\n\n<li>A small piece of butter<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">To Prepare<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Butter the mold in the shape you prefer -I used a sponge cake mold. Pour the desired amount of soft fudge to cover the bottom of the mold. Then, add the chocolate cake industrial mix previously prepared (raw) as per the manufacturer\u2019s instructions printed in the package. My choice for more comfort was a mix that comes ready to put in the oven, so I poured it directly into the mold.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>In a separate bowl mix the eggs, the evaporated milk, the condensed milk, and the vanilla extract or grains. Pour it softly on top of the chocolate cake mix. It is very important that you do it softly, in order for both preparations to remain separate.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>With a pre-heated oven at 180 \u00b0C or 350\u00b0F for 10 minutes, bake your cake in a Bain Marie without covering it for about 50 minutes, or until a toothpick is inserted and it comes out clean. Take the mold out of the Bain Marie and out of the oven and let it sit to cool down to room temperature and take out of the mold into a tray.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>The result is simply mar-vel-lous.
